The dHealth (Digital Health) Knowledge Portal is a resource designed and supported by Sage Bionetworks to enable the discovery and download of digital and mobile health data, tools, and benchmarked outcomes and digital biomarkers. Our goal is to enable this process by providing open access to data, reusable computational tools, and best practices.

Use the dHealth Knowledge Portal to find, share, and reuse data made available from a range of studies, analysis, and benchmarking challenges. Our collection of data continues to grow and is updated in real time on the portal, as new collections are contributed.

This documentation site aims to help you make the most of your exploration of the portal, so you can browse for and/or download the data of interest to you.

How does Sage Bionetworks, Synapse, and the dHealth Knowledge Portal fit together? Let’s break this down:

Sage Bionetworks	First, there’s Sage Bionetworks - a name you may or may not have come across. While Sage is not a tool you’ll be using, you should know who we are: a non-profit organization based out of Seattle, Washington. Sage is dedicated to promoting and advancing open science, as well as engaging patients in the research process. The scientists, developers, and designers that built the tools you’re using are all employed by Sage. You can learn more about Sage Bionetworks and its initiatives here.
Synapse	In line with advocating for open science, Sage developed a collaborative research platform called Synapse. Synapse promotes reproducible research and responsible data sharing. It does so by allowing researchers to organize, share and discuss data and analyses, either privately within their teams or with broader research communities.
dHealth Knowledge Portal	The dHealth Knowledge Portal is a user interface (UI) to help users to browse and locate digital health data and analyses stored in Synapse. Portal links will direct users to the appropriate locations in Synapse to request access and download data. Synapse discussion forums can be used to request help or support regarding these data sets.
